Optical fibres have been used in many medical applications. To be more precise and accurate, they are used in medical imaging such as in bronchoscopes, endoscopes and laparoscopes. This helps better look at the body.

 

 identify the traditional medical techniques that optical fibres might replace

Traditionally they insert a pill with a camera to examine the interior of the body. so the optical fiberes can replace many things

 

 Evaluate the benefits of fibre optic technology to medicine

The benefits to medicine are that you can identify the disease or cure more accurately and get more information on the specimen. If this works well it can lead to the making of new medicines to cure diseases.
