Investigate the two types of sight defect- long-sightedness and short sightedness.
Find the following information:
long-sightedness can also be known as hyperopia. Hyperopia is the inability to see near objects as clearly as distant objects, and the need for accommodation to see distant objects clearly. The symptoms of this are
1. Blurred vision
2. Difficulty seeing objects up close
3. Crossing of the eyes in children
Hyperopia is commonly treated using corrective lenses, such as eyeglasses or contact lenses.
Short sightedness or Myopia is the inability to see distant objects as clearly as near objects.The symptoms of this are:
1. Blurred vision
2. Difficulty seeing distant objects
3. Sits close to computer or TV
4. Hold things close to the face
